The Nature Therapy Center - Staff Members


The team of professional st
aff are graduates of the different training programs of the Center. They are skilled therapists and group counselors.


The multi-professions, experience and knowledge result in a skilled team of devoted leaders' intent on healing with nature. All members continually participate in diverse programs, workshops and conferences at the center, in order to continue their knowledge growth.




Ronen Berger, PhD
Founder and Head of the Nature Therapy Center

Dr. Ronen Berger's PhD thesis researched and developed the theory and practice of the Nature Therapy approach. His work encompasses his training as a drama therapist, dancer and ecologist as well as his former research experience with the Golan Height Wolves. As the head of the Nature Therapy Center, Ronen directs all of the training courses. In addition to teaching at several academic institutes in Israel (Tel Aviv University and Haifa University), Ronen is also the director of the Nature Therapy Programs at the Ministry of Education as well as at Mashabeem.
Ronen is married and has two children; he resides in Northern Israel at Kibbutz Snir near the Banias River.

Michal Doron
Supervisor at the Nature Therapy Center

Michal excels in many fields; she is a Drama Therapist, Psychotherapist, Theatre Director and Group Counselor. Michal also Directs the Drama Therapy Institute at Tel Hai College and Lectures at the Nature Therapy Training Program for Group Counselors. In addition, Michal is the Regional Trainer for all the Israeli Ministry of Education Special Education Needs Department.

Ziv Karni-Efrati
Group Counselor at the Nature Therapy Center

Ziv earned her BA in Business Administration, and is a graduate of the Nature Therapy Center's Group Counselor Training Program for Group Facilitators.

Avner Dahan
Facilitator at the Nature Therapy Center

Avner is a graduate of the Group Counseling Program form the Nature Therapy Training Program for Group Facilitators. In addition Avner is a tour guide, he practices personal and business coaching and manages the "Han El-Al" at Avnei Eitan in Ramat Hagolan

Eitan Shaked
Facilitator and therapist at the Nature Therapy Center

Eitan has a degree in both Biology and Israel Studies. He is a tour guide and Drama Therapist. Eitan has immense experience in working with therapy in nature, guiding treks and gardening for the handicapped. He has also Founded a theater and teaches in the democratic school in Arad.

Sarah Hodorov
Facilitator and Therapist at the Nature Therapy Center

Sarah has a BA in Education and Drama. She is a Facilitator and Supervisor of students and kindergarten teachers. Sarah works with children and youngsters and is the Director of the Care Center "Life Circles".

Hila Lugar
Facilitator at the Nature Therapy Center

Hila has a degree in Special Education and has graduated from the Nature Therapy Training Program for Group Facilitators at Tel Hai College 2006. She is a tour guide and ceramic artist. Hilas works with children at risk, supervising students and kindergarten teachers, facilitating children's at risk care and managing the care center "Life Circles".

Nurit Polak
Facilitator and supervisor at the Nature Therapy Center

Nurit has a degree in Special Education and Bibliotherapy. She works as a Facilitator for the Israeli Ministry of Education and has a wide range of experience in taking care of children and youngsters.In addition, Nurit is also studying Integrative psychotherapy.
